Main areas of research are:

1. Civil law (in particular liability law, types of contracts)
2. Private international law
3. Comparative law (focus: Anglo-American law)
4. Commercial law, in particular competition law (especially unfair competition law), intellectual property law, copyright law

Particular emphasis is placed on the links between these research areas (especially between the aforementioned special areas of commercial law, civil law and private international law), on the international aspects of commercial law and on the interaction of the aforementioned areas of law with mechanisation and digitalisation.
